Reception dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia was held in Bratislava

On June 14, 2023, the Embassy of Georgia to the Slovak Republic held a reception dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Slovak Republic. The reception was held in the "Hradna" event hall located in the courtyard of the Bratislava historical Castle "Hrad".

The reception was opened with the National Anthems of Georgia and the Slovak Republic, after which, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Slovak Republic H.E. Mr. Revaz Beshidze, delivered a welcome speech.

The state flags of Georgia and the Slovak Republic, as well as the logos of the Independence Day of Georgia and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Slovak Republic were displayed on the screen. The reception was accompanied by Georgian polyphonic compositions.

The invited guests tasted Georgian traditional dishes and Georgian wine, along with the European dishes.

The reception was attended by the Vice-Speakers of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Mr. Gábor Grendel and Mr. Juraj Blanár, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council Mr. Marián Kéry, General Director of the Economic and Development Cooperation Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ms. Lucia Kišš, Director of the Diplomatic Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ms. Ingrid Horvay, Honorary Consul of Georgia to the Slovak Republic Dr. Nodar Giorgadze, also representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the Slovak Republic, Heads of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Slovakia and representatives of Embassies, representatives of Slovak culture, art, media and non-governmental organizations and Georgian citizens living in Slovakia.
