On July 15, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Slovak Republic H.E. Mr. Revaz Beshidze, in connection with the end of his diplomatic mission in Slovakia, held a farewell meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Mr. Marek Eštok.
In connection with the end of the mission of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Slovak Republic H.E. Mr. Revaz Beshidze, on June 28, 2024, a traditional handing over ceremony of the silver plate to Ambassador of Georgia and reception was held at the Embassy of the Holy See to the Slovak Republic.
On 19 June 2024, another round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia took place in Bratislava. The Georgian delegation was led by Deputy Minister Teimuraz Janjalia, while State Secretary Marek Eštok headed the Slovak side.
On May 29, 2024, the Embassy of Georgia to the Slovak Republic held a Reception dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia. The reception was held in the "Hradna" event hall located in the courtyard of the Bratislava historical Castle "Hrad".
On May 26, 2024, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Georgia, the historical building of the Embassy of Georgia to the Slovak Republic and the Saint Urban’s Bell Tower of Košice city (Slovak Republic) are illuminated with the image of the State Flag of Georgia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia condemns holding of Russian Presidential elections and illegal opening of the polling stations in Georgia’s occupied regions, aimed at mass engagement of the local population in the Russian electoral process.
To mark the tragic day of 25th of February 1921, when Soviet Russia’s Red Army occupied and annexed the first Georgian Democratic Republic and as a token of respect to the victims, on 25th of February 2024 the state flag of Georgia is flying at half-mast at the premises of the Embassy of Georgia to the Slovak Republic.
New Year’s Eve Meeting of H.E. Ms. Zuzana Čaputová, President of the Slovak Republic with the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Slovak Republic held on 12th of February 2024 at the Presidential Palace.
On January 17, 2024, Ambassador of Georgia to the Slovak Republic H.E. Mr. Revaz Beshidze held the meeting with the General Director of the Political Section of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Mr. Martin Kačo.
On December 8, 2023 Embassy of Georgia to the Slovak Republic participated in the Annual Christmas Market held in Bratislava’s Main Square, where the Georgian Embassy presented Georgian wine and variety of Georgian tea to the charity pavilion of the International Women’s Club of Bratislava (IWCB).
On December 7, 2023, Ambassador of Georgia to the Slovak Republic H.E. Mr. Revaz Beshidze held the meeting with the Chairperson of the European Affairs Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Mr. Ján Ferenčák.
