Embassy of Hungary in the Slovak Republic hosted an event within the framework of the Hungarian EU Presidency
In the context of the Hungarian EU Presidency, the Embassy of Hungary in Bratislava hosted an EU Symposium titled “EU Enlargement: Opportunities and Challenges.”
The event was opened by Mr. Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, who spoke about the main priorities and achievements of the Hungarian EU Presidency.
From the Georgian side, Mr. Archil Karaulashvili, Director General of the Directorate General for European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended and delivered a speech during the first panel "Enlargement and the Security Architecture of the EU." In his address, the Director General highlighted Georgia’s security challenges and the significance of EU enlargement in the region, underscoring the importance of Georgia’s eventual integration into the European Union. He also stressed the necessity of effectively showcasing Georgia's efforts and achievements on its path toward European integration, emphasizing the progress made through successful reforms to dispel any speculations or misunderstandings.
