A reception dedicated to Independence Day of Georgia

On 29 May, a reception dedicated to Independence Day of Georgia was held in Bratislava.

The event was attended by the Minister of Sports of Georgia, Shalva Gogoladze, accompanied by delegation, during his official visit to the Slovak Republic. The reception brought together representatives of Slovakia’s executive and legislative branches, the cultural sector, regional self-government bodies, the media, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bratislava, as well as representatives of the Georgian diaspora.

The invited guests were addressed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, Konstantine Kvachakidze, who highlighted the historical significance of Georgia’s Independence Day. In his remarks, the Ambassador placed particular emphasis on Georgia’s unique cultural identity as a country with centuries of history and a 1,700-year-old Christian tradition, underlining its European values and a distinct statehood rooted in its historical heritage.
