Meeting with His Beatitude Rastislav, the Head of Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Preśov, Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia
On June 4th, the Ambassador of Georgia Konstantine Kvachakidze met with His Beatitude Rastislav, the Head of Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Preśov, Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia in Preśov to continue discussions on deepening cooperation between the Orthodox Churches, building on their initial meeting in October 2025.
The Ambassador thanked His Beatitude for representing the Czech lands and Slovak Church at two significant recent events in Georgia's religious life - the funeral of Patriarch Ilia II and the enthronement of the new Catholicos-Patriarch Shio III.
Metropolitan Rastislav reciprocated by expressing his deep respect and spiritual closeness to the Georgian Orthodox Church and nation.
